It is my privilege to say a few words about our organization, NIELIT Aizawl Centre.

NIELIT Aizawl specializes in development of skill in the fields of Information, Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) through various long term and short term courses.

The long term courses namely the Diploma in Computer Science & Engg.(DCSE), Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engg. Apart from this, the Centre also offers various NIELIT courses such as NIELIT ‘A’ LEVEL, ‘O’LEVEL, MAT ‘O’ etc.

Other short term courses are aimed at giving proficiency and the hands-on skill in the key areas of technology. The main emphasis is on updating students with the latest development in their fields of specialization after completion of their formal courses. This requirement is especially relevant in the fields of Electronics and Information Technology which are rapidly advancing all the time.  Since its inception in the year 2001, the centre has trained more than 13,000 students / candidates in various long and short term courses. The cntre is now equiped with adequate infrastructure to be a leader in the state of Mizoram. Apart from this, Corporate Training Programmes, Consultancy Projects and Sponsored Programmes are being undertaken with various agencies.

Some of our facilities include Specialized electronic labs such as Electronics & Communication Engg. To facilitate the students of the rural areas and economically weaker section of the society NIELIT Aizawl Centre constructed and commissioned hostels for boys and girls separately. An extension centre of NIELIT Aizawl centre has been set up at Lunglei Town in the southern part of Mizoram. The training activities at this extension centre have started from March’2013.

The centre in its endeavor to fulfil the goal of a digital India has opened more than 12 study centres in different parts of the state covering 5 different districts. We are aiming at making the state of Mizoram a digitally empowered state and lead the campaign. This initiative of NIELIT has made the people of Mizoram to accept us as an ASSET of the state.

To conclude, I on behalf of the organization would like to request the cooperation of all for the growth of NIELIT family for maximum contribution towards making India digitally empowered. May the dream of a developed India by 2025 be fulfilled.
