NIELIT is imparting Education at National Council for promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) centres pan India through CABA-MDTP course. The objective of the project is to upskill the masses in emerging technologies and Urdu language. NIELIT is also providing IT Faculties in more than 350 CABA-MDTP Centre under this project to prepare a trained IT work force PAN India.

Software for Digitization of Birth & Death Registers of Punjab for the period 1989 to 2003 is developed by NIELIT.

IVRS based Digital Call Centre, Shikayat Nivaran Kendra Punjab, Haryana and Shimla, Public Grievance Redressal System, Punjab and Helpline for State Aids Control Society are successfully being used.

National Consumer Price Index (CPI) Calculation System of Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India has been developed and being maintained by NIELIT Chandigarh  since 2008. The national CPI is generated on a monthly basis through the NIELIT software system.
