NIELIT Calicut, in collaboration with the Kerala Police Cyberdome, successfully launched a specialized training workshop for police officials titled "Enhancing Digital Forensic & Investigation Capabilities." This high-impact program is a key initiative under the FutureSkills PRIME 2.0 framework, a national program by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The workshop was officially inaugurated by Shri. Padam Singh, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Kozhikode City. During his address, he emphasized the need for law enforcement to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving landscape of cybercrime.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr. Jayaraj U. Kidav, Executive Director , NIELIT Calicut. Key technical experts and organizers who addressed the gathering included:

IoT Security & Investigation: Addressing vulnerabilities in smart devices.
Digital Forensics: Advanced techniques for data recovery and evidence preservation.
Smart Device Analysis: Investigating logs and digital footprints from mobile and smart hardware.
Network Forensics: Tracking digital traces across interconnected systems.
By bridging the gap between traditional policing and high-end technological tools, NIELIT Calicut continues to play a pivotal role in the FutureSkills PRIME mission. This program not only enhances the investigation efficiency of the Kerala Police but also contributes to the larger national goal of building a robust and secure digital ecosystem.
