NIELIT Calicut was honored to host a visit by Shri Muhammed Y. Safirulla, IAS, Director at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), on October 5, 2025.

During his visit, the Director toured the cutting-edge laboratories at the institute to gain a firsthand understanding of NIELIT Calicut's capabilities and infrastructure.

The highlight of the day was a comprehensive interaction with staff members. Shri Safirulla engaged in fruitful discussions regarding strategic initiatives, focusing particularly on activities to be conducted under the India AI Mission and the development and future scope of the Smart Lab facilities.

The visit reinforces the Ministry's commitment to NIELIT's role as a key contributor to national technology missions and skill development objectives.
