  • NIELIT J&K has been designated as IT Advisor to Govt. of  UT of J&K
  • NIELIT J&K has undertaken  projects on a turnkey basis for establishing Data communication Networks, CCTV , Virtual Private Networks and also other Design & Development Projects for nearly 40 Government Departments till date

     Corporate Trainings and Workshop Conducted

 

            i. Recent Corporate Training:

  • Training of 176 officials and officers of State Taxes Department (STD), J&K UT, on ‘Data Analysis using Advanced MS-Excel’ in the year 2022-2023
  • Training  on Block Chain Technology for Higher Education Department and BSNL officials under Future Prime-Blockchain program
  • Training of 78 JCOs/OR's sponsored by Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR) for the course of  Multimedia Developer
  • 5-days/2-days workshop on e-Learning & Smart Classroom Technology was conducted at NIELIT Srinagar and Jammu for the 309 Principals/ Asstt. Professors/ Lecturers of Higher Education Department, Government of J&K.
  • Computer Hardware & Networking Training for Army personnel
    • Over 86 candidates were imparted training in Computer Basics, Computer Hardware & Networking at NIELIT Srinagar
  • AutoCAD training for the officials of Power Development Department
    • 127 officials of Power Development Department were imparted AutoCAD training both at Srinagar and Jammu
  • Basic Computer training for the officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau:
    • 100 officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau were imparted Basic Computer training both at Srinagar and Jammu
  • Inclusion of NIELIT J&K under ISEA Project (Phase-II):
    • NIELIT J&K was included as a participating Institute and implementing agency for conduct of ISEA project phase-II for a period of 5-years. In the 5th year of the project 284 (235 Srinagar + 213 Jammu) Government official Training (GOT) were imparted training and 213 (Jammu) participants attended ISEA awareness workshop.
  • Cyber Shikshaa Program: Cyber Shikshaa training for Women (a skill development initiative for women in cyber security) was conducted for 68 women candidates.

          ii. Recent Workshops:

  • 5-Days Workshop on Computer Networking is being conducted at Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora Kashmir for officials of Department of IT, IUST. The program is aimed at providing a Computer Networking knowledge to the officials.
  • 5-Days Workshop on e-Waste Management was conducted at NIELIT Srinagar and Jammu for over 130 Govt. employees. The program aimed at providing an insight into various aspects of e-Waste Management.

Services

NIELIT J&K erstwhile CEDTI has been designated as Technical Advisor on matters related to implementation of Information Technology in the UT of J&K videRef No: CMS-ITU-27/2000 Dated: 11-02-2002. Under the said privilege, most of the procurements done by the departments in the UT are being inspected and the authentication of these equipment’s are being done by NIELIT J&K. Apart from this, NIELIT J&K has provided a lot number of services and consultancies to the departments from time to time or as required.

 a) Repair & Maintenance of Hospital Equipment’s:

NIELIT J&K has been inspirational and instrumental in conducting training in biomedical courses. So far around 2000 unemployed youths have been trained on various skills especially in the repairing and hospital of hospital equipment’s courses. Apart from this NIELIT Srinagar had signed a MoU with State TB Cell for repairing of various binocular microscopes. All the 10 districts of Kashmir Province were covered under this activity.

Apart from this NIELIT J&K has signed a MoU with the J&K Biomedical Engineers Society of Kashmir for running of various ESDM Courses especially with regard to repair and maintenance of hospital equipment’s?

b) Inspection

NIELIT J&K erstwhile CEDTI has been designated as Technical Advisor on matters related to implementation of Information Technology in the UT of J&K vide Ref No: CMS-ITU-27/2000 Dated: 11-02-2002. Under the said privilege, most of the procurements done by the departments in the UT are being inspected and the authentications of these equipments are being done by NIELIT J&K.

 R&D (Research & Development)

The R&D lab was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Killi Kruparani on 23rd May 2013 at NIELIT Srinagar. Since the inception of the Lab following two sponsored R&D projects were undertaken:

a) Real-Time Monitoring of Water Quality of Dal Lake, Srinagar using Wireless Sensor Network.

The project aimed at developing a real-time water quality monitoring system of the Dal Lake by making use of wireless sensor networks. The parameters of water quality monitored include pH value, Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, Temperature & ORP/Redox. The project was sponsored by DeitY, Govt. of India with a Project Outlay of 87.28 Lacs.

b) Capacity building in WSN Security and Training in J&K State

The project aimed at developing improved authentication protocols for hardening WSN security. It also aimed at developing a training curriculum, training material on WSN security and the conduct of short-term training programs in a modular fashion on WSN security, for students of technical institutions, research scholars and teachers. More than 100 students of technical institutions, research scholars and teachers within the U.T of J & K were trained under this project. The project was sponsored by DeitY, Govt. of India with a Project Outlay of 52.70 Lacs.
