Launch of NIELIT Digital University (NDU) Platform – Empowering Digital India

Dimapur, October 2^nd2025: A landmark event in India’s digital transformation journey, the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) Platform was officially launched on 2nd October 2025 in New Delhi. The platform aims to revolutionize digital learning by providing accessible, inclusive, and technology-driven education across the nation.

The grand launch was marked by a vibrant exhibition showcasing innovations and initiatives from NIELIT Centres across India. Each centre highlighted unique contributions toward building a digitally empowered society. Among them, NIELIT Kohima made a remarkable impression by exhibiting its initiatives under the themes of Cyber Security, Start-up Promotion, and Digital Empowerment in Handloom & Handicraft.

The “Tradikart” app, developed and promoted by NIELIT Kohima, was one of the key attractions at the exhibition. The app focuses on connecting local artisans and entrepreneurs with digital markets, thereby supporting sustainable livelihoods through technology. The centre also showcased digital interventions in the traditional handloom and handicraft sectors, demonstrating how innovation and technology can drive inclusive growth and empower communities.

The exhibition served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, with NIELIT Centres from across the country participating actively to display their innovative projects in emerging technologies, cybersecurity, AI, and digital skilling.
