Summer Internship Program 2025 at NIELIT Dimapur – Empowering Youth through Digital Skills.
 

Dimapur, June – August 2025: The Summer Internship Program 2025 at NIELIT Dimapur concluded successfully after three enriching months of hands-on learning and digital training, held from June to August 2025. This year’s program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 136 students from various reputed institutions, including Dimapur Government College, Unity College, Tetso College, St. John College, and Government Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.

The internship aimed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge in emerging digital domains. Participants were trained in Digital Essential Skills, helping them gain confidence in using technology effectively and safely. The Digital Skills for Scientific Applications course introduced students to computational tools and digital techniques used in research and data-driven projects. Another key component, Fundamentals of Data Curation in Python, offered participants a solid foundation in coding, data handling, and analysis—crucial skills for modern scientific and professional environments.

A special highlight of the program was the inclusion of hands-on training in Digital Handloom, Digital Handicraft using CNC Machine, and Digital Embroidery. These modules demonstrated how technology can blend seamlessly with traditional crafts to promote innovation, precision, and entrepreneurship. Students learned to apply digital design tools and automation techniques to enhance the productivity and market reach of local artisans.

Through expert mentorship, live demonstrations, and project-based learning, the internship fostered creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence. The Summer Internship Program 2025 not only strengthened the participants’ digital capabilities but also inspired them to contribute meaningfully to the vision of a digitally skilled, innovative, and empowered India.
