Sinha, Principal Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Govt. of Bihar, Shri Raj Kumar Goyal, Joint Secretary, DeitY, Govt. of India, Shri Ashwini Kumar Sharma, Managing Director, NIELIT.

• Taken up NIELIT counselling for facilitating the accreditation, registration, examination & other related matters.
• NIELIT Patna has organised an Awareness Workshop on IPR on Sunday, 2nd February 2014. Shri Atul Sinha, Managing Director, BELTRON, Govt. of Bihar was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
• NIELIT Patna has participated in e-Bihar summit held on 20th February, 2014. Shri Nitish Kumar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar was the Chief Guest and Shri Shahid Ali Khan, Hon’ble Minister of Minority Welfare & Information Technology was the Guest of Honour.
• Work for construction of Permanent Campus and temporary space at 11th Floor of Biscomaun Tower was awarded to NBCC.
• Boundary wall work has completed for Institutional Area.
• NIELIT Patna participated in e-Bihar summit held on 19-20th February, 2015. Shri Jeetan Ram Manjhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar was the Chief Guest and Shri Shahid Ali Khan, Hon’ble Minister of Information Technology was the Guest of Honour.
• Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma, Managing Director of NIELIT held discussions with representatives of IT training institutions in Gaya district, which is an e-District of Bihar, on April 18,2015 to review the preparedness of the accredited IT training institutions in the district, in taking forward the Digital India programme of the Government of India.
• Total of 8242 students/trainees has been trained in 2013-14 against the assigned training targets of 1360. Out of this, 7997 candidates have been trained under the state government training programme of Group C employee of Bihar Government.
• Approximately 14000 students have been enrolled till 31st March 2015.

Significant Achievements

• NIELIT Centre, Patna has been assigned the responsibility of implementing the following projects by Government of Bihar:
• Skill Enhancement of a total of 3.75 lakh unemployed youth of State of Bihar at a total outlay of Rs. 101.25 crore over a period of five years.
• e-Governance Benefits and usages for officials of Government of Bihar (Tentative Cost Rs. 1.51 crore).
• Information Security Education & Awareness for officials of Government of Bihar (Tentative Cost Rs. 92 lakh).
• Skill Enhancement in Advanced ICT Concepts for SC, ST, Minority & Women Candidates in Bihar (Tentative Cost Rs. 48.1 lakh)
• NIELIT Centre, Patna has been entrusted as agency by DIT Bihar to conduct online exam for Data Entry Operators (DEOs) of BELTRON (Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd.) for their grade promotion.
• NIELIT Centre, Patna has been entrusted with agency to conduct recruitment exam for Bihar Sainik Kalyan Board.
• NIELIT Centre, Patna has been entrusted as agency to conduct Computer Proficiency Exam for Judicial Academy of Bihar.

Academic Collaboration with NIT Patna

• MOU between NIELIT Patna and NIT Patna is signed on 26th June 2014 for Academic Cooperation.
• NIELIT Centre, Patna has been entrusted to impart training on computer appreciation and accounting with tally to the Non-Teaching Staff of NIT Patna.
• For Multimedia courses academic cooperation between Department and Science & Technology Government of Bihar and NIELIT Patna has been initiated and NIELIT to launch tailor based multimedia courses which will bridge the skill gap between academic curricula and industry requirement for B.Tech/MCA/MSc Computer Science/BCA students of Bihar so that after getting trained they could get employment in local multimedia industry of Bihar at Patna.
