Commemoration of 150 Years of the National Song “Vande Mataram”

NIELIT Kolkata observed the “Commemoration of 150 years of the National Song Vande Mataram” on 10th November 2025 at both the Campuses of the Centre wherein the National Song was played in presence of the students and the employees of the Centre to mark the 150th anniversary of India’s national song “Vande Mataram”, composed by the great nationalist writer Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875. The celebration honoured the song’s rich legacy, its role in India’s freedom struggle, and its continuing significance as a symbol of unity, pride, and patriotism.
