NIELIT Kolkata Participates in Akashvani Kolkata’s Discussion on Digital India

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote awareness and dialogue around the Digital India initiative, Dr. Kalyan Baital, Scientist-D, NIELIT Kolkata, was invited to participate in a special discussion programme hosted by Akashvani Kolkata on 13th September 2025.

The programme featured a fruitful and wide-ranging discussion on key components of the Digital India mission, including digital infrastructure, digital empowerment, and the delivery of government services through digital platforms. During the session, Dr. Baital highlighted several flagship initiatives undertaken by NIELIT Kolkata in support of the mission. He emphasized the Centre’s commitment to empowering youth through a diverse portfolio of low to high-end training programmes, including specialized courses in emerging technologies. He also shed light on NIELIT Kolkata’s inclusive outreach efforts, particularly those targeting underprivileged and underserved communities across the region.
