IT Skills and e-inclusion through low cost access devices based awareness program for Scheduled Tribes

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Calicut coordinated the implementation of the MeitY, Govt of India funded project to impart free training in

  1. DOEACC Certified Diploma in Computer Application (DDCA) to 500 candidates with an objective to improve the employability of the rural youth belonging to Scheduled Tribes. 

           The training imparted through M/s GTec Computer Education Centres in Wayanad, Palakkad and Idukki districts of Kerala State.

  1. Awareness in Computer course (ACC) with Health awareness & Soft skill to 1000 candidates with an objective to provide training in computer basics along with health awareness and language education to adults and children belonging to Scheduled Tribes

The project was implemented jointly with Amrita Vishwa Vidhyspeetham, Kollam in the selected tribal hamlets in Wayanad, Palakkad and Idukki districts of Kerala State.
