NIELIT Calicut has awarded a research and development project from Naval Research Board (NRB) Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The project execution will be in collaboration with Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) Cochin. As part of the project, NIELIT Calicut will be developing hardware solutions for realizing complex signal processing algorithms on various platforms like Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), Multi-Core SoC, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), etc. The project is for three years with a budget outlay of 45 lakhs.
