The Cyber Security Lab at NIELIT Patna came into operation on 02.12.2025 (Tuesday) with a formal inauguration by Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. The ceremony took place in the distinguished presence of Shri Abhay Kumar Singh, IT Secretary, Government of Bihar. The initiative has been guided under the overall leadership of Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General, NIELIT, and facilitated by Dr. Nitin Puri, Executive Director, NIELIT Patna. The new facility is envisioned as a pivotal centre for advanced training, capacity building, and cybersecurity research, strengthening digital resilience and contributing to national objectives under the Digital India initiative.
