The Internet of Things (IoT) Lab at NIELIT Pilibhit was inaugurated on 21^st  December 2025 by the Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. The inauguration marked a significant milestone in promoting advanced technical education, innovation, and digital skill development in the region.

The IoT Lab has been established to provide students and trainees with practical exposure to emerging smart technologies and real-time industrial applications. The lab serves as a modern learning platform where students can understand and implement concepts related to connected devices, sensors, automation, cloud computing, and data communication.

The laboratory is equipped with advanced development boards, sensors, actuators, wireless communication modules, and embedded systems that enable learners to design and develop innovative IoT-based solutions. Students gain hands-on experience in various application areas such as Smart Home Automation, Smart Agriculture, Industrial Automation, Environmental Monitoring, and Smart Healthcare Systems.

The primary objective of the lab is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry requirements by promoting skill development, innovation, and project-based learning. The lab also facilitates training in programming, sensor interfacing, cloud platforms, and real-time monitoring applications using modern tools and technologies.

Through this initiative, NIELIT Pilibhit  aims to empower students with future-ready technical skills aligned with Industry  and Digital India initiatives.
