EdTech Project
Administrative Approval
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has accorded administrative approval for the project titled “Development of EdTech Platform in Semiconductor Space to Democratize Chip Design and Development Ecosystem for Masses” dated 01st April’2025. The project focus on training of 30,000 candidates through short term workshops and bootcamps over a period of three (03) years in the domain of semiconductor and chip design through NIELIT Centres and participating institutions.
Overview of the Project:
The EdTech platform developed under the project shall deliver high-quality audio-visual content for both basic and advanced skills in overall chip design. The developed content will be entirely open-sources-based technology. The content will include a rich library of lectures, demonstrations and labs to facilitate understanding and retention of complex chip design concepts.
Implementation Phases:
- Phase I: Short-term workshops and bootcamps for 10,000 candidates
- Phase II: Advanced hands-on training and project-based learning for 20,000 candidates
Objective
To organize short-term workshops and intensive boot camps of 30-hours aimed at building practical, industry-relevant skills in semiconductor and chip design technologies, targeting the training of 10,000 candidates. These emphasizes hands-on learning, rapid skill acquisition, and ensures participants are professionally ready and aligned with current and emerging industry requirements.
Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries under this program shall include:
-
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students (ECE / EE / CS)
-
Early-career engineers
-
Faculty members
-
Working professionals in chip design
-
Bootcamp Details
The course comprises the following modules:
- Module–I: RTL Design and IP Integration
- Module–II: Advanced RTL Design and CDC/RDC Handling
