As the Executive Director of NIELIT Aurangabad Centre, it gives me immense pleasure to share with you that this Centre is among the frontrunners and a leader in providing a solution-oriented approach for the promotion of Electronics and IT in the region. Located in the sprawling and lush green campus of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, the Centre is providing world-class educational and skill development opportunities to the youth through state-of-the-art teaching methodologies in both formal and non-formal sectors.

Established in 1987, the high-end courses provided by the Centre are aimed towards the holistic development of students, and the enviable success rate in terms of employment boasts of many niche companies in both India and abroad.

With the motto of providing “Opportunities to All”, the NIELIT Aurangabad Centre is catering to a diversified range of courses starting from the empowerment of local youth and underprivileged sections in the region through digital literacy programs to churning out highly competent engineers through B.Tech and M.Tech programs. These programs are uniquely designed to allow students to advance their careers and creatively address multifaceted problems.

Through affordable programs and excellence in education, which also includes industry-aligned skill development programs, students are equipped with intellectual and professional skills based on ethical principles and international best practices.

The formal courses offered by the Centre are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and given the expertise that this Centre has developed over the years, Dr. BAM University has accorded NIELIT Aurangabad the prestigious status of a Research Centre, leading to the award of Ph.D. degrees in Engineering and Technology.

It is the preferred centre for students from all hues and backgrounds to learn and hone their technical skills through constructivist pedagogy based on principles of good practices. As the need for flexible, multidisciplinary, global education has increased, the NIELIT Aurangabad Centre is also diversifying into areas of the latest technological trends and expanding its reach to meet industrial demands. The ideology of the Centre is based on the needs of modern engineering and technology education for modern-age students, supplemented with a vision and mission of a futuristic education system which is outcome-oriented, transparent, accountable, and accessible.

Being a key constituent unit of NIELIT, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, it also undertakes a wide range of capacity-building programs aimed at supporting the initiatives of the State Government in IT and related areas. It is, in fact, the preferred agency for the rollout of Government initiatives on a self-sustainable basis in areas ranging from skilling and empowerment of SC/ST and women; recruitment of technical manpower; R&D in IT and Electronics; online services; and many other technical-related projects.
