Webinar on “ADD-ON COURSES IN IT, Bridging the gap between Academics & Industries” was organized by NIELIT Delhi Centre and Centre for Skill Development-Shyamlal College on 1st Feb 2022.The objective of this webinar was to introduce about add-on courses in cutting edge IT technologies to all the students of Delhi University & NIELIT. Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar, Principal, ShyamLal College laid thrust on the importance of this training programme and how it will provide a new dimension for the students of Shyamlal College. He encouraged the students to actively enroll in the training programme and make themselves industry ready.

Ms. Sheetal Chopra, Director-in-charge NIELIT Delhi addressed the students and threw light on role of NIELIT as a partner in enhancing the skills of the students. A total of 180 participants attended this webinar including students & staff members. The webinar was conducted in two sessions:

Session 1: Ms. Kanchan Rani, Joint Director (Systems), delivered the opening address where she explained about how to bridge the gap between Academia & Industry. She focused on the role of Capacity Building Organizations.  She emphasized on how NIELIT is playing an important role in capacity building of young masses. She enlightened on NIELIT’s PAN India presence which is continuously helping the young masses to acquire an extra edge in enhancing their skills in new technologies. She elaborated on the role of ICT and usefulness of add-on Courses in IT in today’s world.

Session 2: Ms. Swapnali Naik, Joint Director (Technical), deliberated on the course curriculum with particular emphasis on its usefulness for the participants and subsequent help in their future career progression. She emphasized on how there’s courses will help the students realize a futuristic goal that will make them step into an industry oriented framework.
