NIELIT Delhi, Janakpuri Centre, successfully concluded the NIELIT O Level (NSQF Level-4) Training Programme for ex-servicemen sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR). This year, the training was conducted in two batches from 13th January 2025 to 14th August 2025 and from 27th January 2025 to 14th August 2025, with a total of 95 participants from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The programme provided structured learning in areas such as IT Tools and Network Basics, Web Designing & Publishing, Programming & Problem-Solving using Python, and IoT Applications. Participants underwent rigorous classroom sessions, practical projects, and online evaluations, enabling them to gain both technical foundations and applied knowledge for real-world scenarios.
To complement their IT training, the participants also undertook a 40-hour Certificate Course on Artificial Intelligence, which introduced them to AI basics, tools, and practical applications, preparing them for one of the most rapidly emerging domains in the digital ecosystem.
The Valedictory Ceremony, held on 14th August 2025, was graced by Ms. Sheetal Chopra, Additional Director & OIC, NIELIT Delhi, who, along with Programme Coordinator Sh. Ankur Pruthi and Ms. Divya Kulhar, Scientist B , awarded the certificates and felicitated the participants. In her address, Ms. Chopra commended the dedication of the trainees and emphasized the importance of adaptability and continuous learning in achieving success in post-service careers. The participants expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity facilitated under the aegis of DGR. They credited the structured curriculum, extensive hands-on training, and the continuous support of NIELIT’s faculty for instilling in them the confidence to pursue new avenues in IT and digital technologies. Many acknowledged that the programme provided not only technical proficiency but also the motivation to transition successfully into second careers beyond their distinguished service in the Armed Forces.
Through such collaborative initiatives, the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) plays a vital role in supporting the resettlement of ex-servicemen, while NIELIT Delhi continues to empower defence personnel with advanced digital skills. Together, these efforts reflect a commitment to national priorities by enabling veterans to contribute effectively to India’s expanding technology-driven workforce.
