Augmented and Virtual Reality(AVR) lab provides specialized facility or workspace equipped with cutting-edge technology and equipment for research, development, testing, and exploration of AR and VR applications.

• AVR Lab nurtures the integration of cutting edge technology in the day to day application areas.  
• AVR Lab is equipped with a wide range of hardware and devices to support both virtual and augmented reality experiences. Powerful computers with high-end graphics cards are essential for rendering realistic virtual environments and processing AR overlays.
• AVR lab has dedicated spaces for rapid prototyping and experimentation, allowing researchers to quickly iterate on ideas and concepts.

Different short-term, long-term courses undertaken under the aegis of Augmented and Virtual Reality lab are:

• Courses under Govt. of India Scheme ‘Futureskills PRIME’ :
  • Govt. officials Training (GoT)
  • Bridge courses namely 
    • Certificate Course in AR VR Game Development Using Unity
    • Basic Certificate Course in Augmented and Virtual Reality 
• Six week Programme in:
  • Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) fundaments 
  • Internet of Things (IoT) using Augmented Reality (6 weeks)

• Officials from various Government departments where trained in the vertical of  Augmented and Virtual Reality (AVR) namely PGI Chandigarh, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), NITTTR Chandigarh, NITTTR Bhopal, Census Dept. Chandigarh, NIELIT – CDAC, NIC, University Professors, faculty and staff of various ITIs
